Custom Size, Special Size and Non-Standard Size
Mattresses and Box Springs

Many different sizes of beds have been built over the years; and many beds made today that are treasured by their owners are non-standard sizes.

• Antique beds often need a special size mattress and box spring.
  An example is the “3/4 bed” This bed ranged in size from 42” wide x 75” long to 48” wide x 72” or 75” long.

• Many modern European beds require non-standard sizes.
• Sports players often order beds built to custom widths and lengths.
• You may need a McRoskey mattress built for any of the above reasons.
  An example: You may want to consider an "Oversize" bed that measures 76" wide x 84" long giving you the advantage of the Eastern King size width with the California King size length.

• McRoskey can also advise on converting a Double size bedstead to accommodate a Queen size set.

Because we build from "scratch", we can handle your requests for almost any special size. There is no need to resort to a foam mattress when you can have real McRoskey comfort custom-made for your special bed. We've made mattresses and box springs as large as 103" x 113" (Need a Giant Bed) and as small as 27" x 51", and have made beds for yachts, airplanes and RVs.

Some of the special features McRoskey can easily address include non-standard widths, lengths and heights; cut-out corners; unusually shaped corners, sides and ends; custom radius corners; box springs with recessed bottoms and with extra-high or extra-low profiles.
