Designer Douglas Durkin Talks About McRoskey
San Francisco interior designer Douglas Durkin of Douglas Durkin Design likes to give his clients choice and convenience. “There are only two companies we use for mattresses. McRoskey is at the top of the list because of their quality and the convenience of working with a local mattress resource. My clients can go into the showroom and select the firmness that is best for them, and also understand the quality of what they are buying.” Durkin continues, “McRoskey feels like an old-time business. It is a solid, ethical company. There is a certain comfort that comes with doing business with the company. They stand by their product. Compared to larger companies, McRoskey is also a bit more agile and flexible and can get things done more quickly if you need that.” The internationally recognized designer says McRoskey is the only California company he knows of that will build custom sized mattresses and box springs. “For instance, if I have an antique bed that requires certain nonstandard dimensions, I turn to McRoskey.” Durkin says that McRoskey’s customer service is excellent. “A client decided on a different firmness after delivery and McRoskey took care of it. A person would be hard pressed to get this kind of service from a large company. ”
