The McRoskey Mattress Company Employees

A tradition of dedication to craftsmanship since 1899.

McRoskey union employees are members of Industrial Carpenters Local 2236.  These dedicated workers build comfort from wire, wood and fiber!

Our People

Starting with 700-pound stands of wire, steel coils are formed, crimped and laced into the innerspring unit – the heart of the McRoskey mattress.  This is the first step in building comfort.

From 500-pound bales of cotton and polyester fiber combed into layer upon layer of luxurious filling materials, the second step of comfort is created.   With these two components (wire and fibre) the mattress is assembled, covered in an all cotton ticking, sewn shut and tufted.

McRoskey box springs are handcrafted.  Steel coils affixed to a well designed wood frame then upholstered with filling materials and ticking provide the correct pressure absorbing support for the mattresses.

McRoskey and its customers depend on this craftsmanship to produce the wonderful comfort choices so many have enjoyed since 1899.
